OnePlus Nord CE vs. Nord vs. Nord N10 5G: OnePlus smartphone specs compared
The OnePlus Nord CE has arrived, joining the company’s popular family of midrange phones. It has 5G, improper specs and an affordable price, so it’s great if you’re on a cost. But how does it compare to earlier members of the Nord family — and which one is gleaming for you? You can take a look at the specs sheet under for details, but here are some high-level things to know beforehand you take the plunge.
The Nord phones featured here all Part some key features: 5G connectivity, 30-watt fast-charging support, 90Hz refresh rate and full HD plus resolution. All three phones come in a similar size. Given these are midrange phones, OnePlus has saved on costs across devices in a pair of ways: none carry the newest Qualcomm chipsets and none have an IP including for water and dust resistance, as you’ll get on the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro. None are getting (or have received) an official US abandon, either. But there are some notable differences too.
First some context: The OnePlus Nord is the OG Nord smartphone. It was launched in 2020 and became the Chinese phone-maker’s best-selling OnePlus blueprint in Europe, shattering first-day sales records. Of the three, it’s the most premium smartphone, though it’s still affordable. Compared to the other two, the original Nord also has the most mighty processor in the form of the Snapdragon 765G and it includes some premium touches such as the in-display fingerprint scanner.
With the Nord N10 5G and N100, OnePlus expanded its more affordable Nord family of phones while launching its first OnePlus Nord in 2020. This phoned shares those premium features mentioned earlier, and brings back some retro features like the headphone jack, but it does cut some corners. The Nord 10 5G is the only one out of the pack that has an LCD expose instead of OLED, it lacks an in-screen fingerprint sensor, and has the lowest-end processor (Snapdragon 690). That said, the Nord N10 5G is the only one out of the gang stacked with expandable storage.
The Nord CE as, is the newest member of the Nord family of phones. CE stands for Core Edition presumably because it’s focused on the recent Nord’s “core” features (plus a few more), and aims to elevate your day-to-day experienced. The Nord CE price comes in the lowest, but it’s equipped with a 4,300-mAh battery, the largest of the three. OnePlus “compromised” on the processor, however, cramming in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750G chipset. It’s a step down the blueprint from last year’s 765G chip, but not as low as the one in the Nord N10 5G. You’ll also find a headphone jack.
